Mardi Gras Casino opened a sportsbook in December 2018. It didn’t last long, however, as it was then forced to close down on March 6, 2019.
A contract dispute between Delaware North, the casino’s owner, and its WV sports betting partner, Miomni left the casino without a sportsbook. Now, Delaware North is in search of a new partner to supply sports betting services to the property.
Before it closed down, the sportsbook was located on the main casino floor. It is next to the off-track betting parlor. There is an attached sports bar. It will likely return to this location once the casino is able to accept bets again.
Sports available at the time included football, baseball, hockey, basketball, golf, tennis, auto racing, soccer, boxing, and mixed martial arts. Straight bets, parlays, teasers, props, and futures are all accepted.
The Miomni partnership also brought BetLucky Sportsbook, a sports betting app to the Mountain State. It was the first of its kind in West Virginia. Unfortunately, it is also a casualty of the contract dispute and will not likely return.Mardi Gras casino gamesMardi Gras Casino Poker Tournament Schedule
